Purchased first sailboat

I drove to Garden City, SC (just outside of Myrtle Beach) to look at a Macgregor 26S sailboat. After the long drive, I did not want to come away empty handed and I returned a boat owner. I had no idea what I was getting into.

I met with Mike and his wife. Mike had owned the Macgregor for 3 years. He had previously owned a Venture 22. Inspection of the boat seemed to be in decent condition. It came with a trailer, 5hp motor, and lots of accessorries. This is where the story begins.
