Black Glass

I am still working on fiberglass. I moved on to the black strip on the boat. I used the Dremel (Harbor Freight version) to grind out the fiberglass around the area. I wiped down with mineral spirits and then filled with a black fiberglass. The black came from a aluminite black dye. I used a foam brush to apply that work better than the puddy knife I have used in the past. I covered it with parchment paper and taped everything up. It was 50 degrees when I did the work. I thought it would dry at that temperature, but it was still tacky when I took the tape and parchment paper off. The temperature dropped to 31 during the night and it may have been too cold. I hope to finished with the fiberglass work soon.
